Trade Spend Analyst / Auditor.

The Trade Spend Analyst / Auditor will report directly to Finance while partnering with Sales Operations to validate the completeness and accuracy of trade promotions and trade spend managed within our trade promotion management platform (TPM).
This person will collaborate across Sales, Finance, and Accounting to implement an improved trade planning process within the TPM system, monitor accuracy and performance of promotions and drive best-in-class trade planning, as well as serve as a key primary internal control function in collaboration with Sales and Accounts Receivable (AR) to validate trade spend requests, offsets, and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Monitors completeness and accuracy of promotions loaded into the TPM system Owns and manages all TPM system reporting, including non-compliance and maintenance of TPM dashboard Analyzes trade deductions to ensure they are being applied timely and accurately by AR Validates and approves all check-based trade spend requests, including through the use of syndicated data Brings visibility, transparency, and analytical rigor to TPM data, providing insights and identifying and investigating anomalies.
Ensures all trade spend contracts are in the TPM system and matched against the contract setup Verifies minimum data requirements are met with respect to new TPM contract set-ups Works cross-departmentally with AR and Sales to identify and address missing or inaccurate TPMs Collaborates with 3rd party deduction management partner Identifies opportunities for process improvements and internal control enhancements Accepts responsibility for organizational goals and takes ownership of evolving duties as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in sales, analytics, marketing or related field preferred CPG experience required Working knowledge of Syndicated Data (SPINS, lRl, and/or Nielsen) Solid familiarity with TPM system functional concepts and business process architectures Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts, including KPIs, metrics, and dimensions, execution, and distribution of reports Strongly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and details Proficient with MS Office product suite including advanced Excel functions (pivot-table, formulas) Entrepreneurial and methodical mindset Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team Collaborative mindset with strength in effectively receiving and communicating feedback Critical and strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and strong customer/channel knowledge Ability to learn various software applications, communicate cross-functional business process needs, document and visualize business requirements, and train end users, both internal and external Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner Capable to build relationships with the key business stakeholders to understand their needs Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner at all levels both written and verbally.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
